The heat was brutal! The traffic in the Bronx was brutal! It was stop and go from just after the Throgs Neck to the GWB. At one point, the thermometer on the LT read 103. There I am, full gear and sweating like a pig. 45 minutes of suffering was rewarded with clear roads the rest of the way.
At about 3:30pm, I got a call from my Boss in panic regarding a school issue. I was still in the Bronx fighting for my life so I called him back at a little after four. I had two parent issues to deal with. I spoke with the Principal, both parents, my Boss and the Principal again while standing at a gas pump in NJ for over an hour. NOT FUN!
Pulled into Bloomsburg around 7pm and found a neat microbrewery called Marleys. Their wings were $.35 and they had 12 of their specialty beers on tap. I was in heaven. Life was good!
